Introducing Gamut Somatics, a creative and holistic approach to mental health.
The approach
What is Somatic Counseling?
What is trauma?
How do I know if this type of support is right for me?
These are all commonly asked questions! Somatic Counseling, uses the body as a guide to access deeper wisdom—whether that be suppressed memories, emotions, or inner truths. When the nervous system encounters a troubling or unsafe experience, it can remain in a heightened state of alertness long after the event has passed. This is what we refer to as trauma.
This response is actually a brilliant feature of our nervous system—it’s what helps us flee from danger or react quickly to a potential threat. However, when this survival response persists in everyday life, it can make simple things feel overwhelming. It can show up as anxiety, difficulties in relationships, struggles with boundaries, or a lingering sense of disconnection from yourself.
If you often feel stuck in cycles of stress, find yourself in unfulfilling relationships, or simply want to feel more alive and inspired in your day-to-day life, somatic work may be right for you.
My goal is to provide a safe, trauma-informed, and judgment-free space to explore what makes us who we are. I believe that each of us holds the unique “recipe” for our own healing and empowerment. By using the body as a guide, we can rediscover the ingredients needed to cultivate a more adaptive, fulfilling, and authentic life.
Providing you with a safe space to Explore
All your individualized appointments will take place in my private office. With a cozy and home-like feel, this is the time to come as you are and ask for what you need!
In my practice you are not a problem needing to be fixed-you are a whole human. I’m here to witness you—with compassion and curiosity—and to offer another set of eyes and ears for the parts of your story that may feel too painful or complicated to share with family or friends. I hold space for all the parts of you—with no pressure to perform, no need to “get it right,” just room to be and heal.
